Caellyn Chantelle

We saw Sian in the sales as a foal and we liked her
breeding. (She is a ¾ sister to Seren JR being by Culhwch out of a Horeb
Euros mare. We thought she might make a decent ridden cob but during the
summer she
blossomed into a cracking filly. Her winnings to date include 1st
yearling filly at Glamorgan youngstock show and 1st yearling at NPS area 28
show and second in a strong class at Avon and Border counties foal and
youngstock show. As a three year old she was reserve champion D and a
bronze medal winner at Gwent Assoc WPCS show.

We liked Sian so much we bought her mother! Whispering

 |
We liked Sian so much that when the chance to buy her mother cropped up we
leapt at the chance. We bought her covered (but not scanned in foal)
by Culhwch. We were delighted when she gave birth to a filly Nantwood
Rowan who looks destined to follow in the footsteps of her sister. As
soon as the weather picks up we will take a decent picture of her as this
one does not do her justice

Gwynfaes Seren JR
.jpg) |
We originally had JR as a project for Rebecca. She lunged and
long-reined her before she was sent to Jamie Baldwin (Janton Stud) for backing.
The idea was that Rebecca would school her on for a couple of months before she
would be returned to Meirion and be sold. She was sold eventually to
us! She is by Culhwch out of an Horeb Euros mare and as you can see she
can really move like both her ancestors. She is an eccentric
personality, the only way she could have a kinder nature would be if she
could actually talk. She has had a colt foal by Thorneyside the
Marksman this year. See Nantwood Orion on the foal page.

Tongwynlais Magical Lady

Lady, pictured here
with her colt foal Nantwood Solomon 1st Oct 07, was purchased from the
Builth sales spring 2006. As you can see she is a classic bay with a
lovely head that she passed on to Solomon.
She gave us a full sister to Solomon this year (see Nantwood Lili on the
foal page)

Gwynfaes Alwena
 |
When
we walked into the field containing Alwena we weren't looking to buy another
filly, but one look at her and Rebecca refused to leave the field until
Meirion would give her a price and so she was ours. By Gwynfaes Matholwch
and out of a full sister to Culhwch, she has a real swan-like neck and lots
of front. This coupled with a real look-at-me attitude and a fantastic
action mean we are quite excited about her prospects. She is in foal
to Thorneyside The Marksman in 2012.

Nantwood Rowan
 |
Rowan is everything we
look for in a cob. Good bone and legs, fantastic head and eye, and
that essential bit of attitude. She is the image of her sister Caellyn
Chantelle.
As a yearling she was first at Vale of Glamorgan County Show and as a two
year old she was first at Bridgend County and First at Monmouthshire County
shows.
As a three year old she was consistently in the rosettes at Valley
Spring Show (Cothi Bridge), Vale of Glamorgan and Monmouth County Shows and
Ceredigion Association
